Welcome to JOIN THE DOTS's Terms and Conditions of Use (these "Terms"). Our lawyers insist that we impose rules on users to protect all of our hard work. This is a contract between you and the JOIN THE DOTS Group (as defined further below) and we want you to know yours and our rights before you use the JOIN THE DOTS application ("App") . Please take a few moments to read these Terms before enjoying the App, because once you access, view or use the App, you are going to be legally bound by these Terms. (so probably best to read them first!).
1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement
Your use of our Services is also subject to the Terms And Conditions disclosed and agreed to by you when you purchase additional features, products, or services from JOIN THE DOTS (“Additional Terms Upon Purchase”), which are incorporated into this Agreement by reference. If you do not wish to be bound by this Agreement, do not use our Services.
We reserve the right to modify, amend, or change the Terms at any time. Notice of any material change will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. In certain circumstances, we may notify you of a change to the Terms via email or other means, as appropriate under the circumstances; however, you are responsible for regularly checking this page for notice of any changes. We agree that future changes will not be retroactive without your consent. Your continued use of our Services constitutes your acceptance of any change, and you will be legally bound by the updated Terms. If you do not accept a change to the terms, you should stop using our Services immediately.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account onJOIN THE DOTS and use the Service. By creating an account and using the Service, you represent and warrant that: you can form a binding contract with JOIN THE DOTS,
  • be legally permitted to use the App by the laws of your home country.
  • you will comply with this Agreement and all applicable local, state, national and international laws, rules and regulations, and
  • you have never been convicted of a felony or indictable offense (or crime of similar severity), a sex crime, or any crime involving violence, and that you are not required to register as a sex offender with any state, federal or local sex offender registry.
3. Content
It is important that you understand your rights and responsibilities with regard to the content on our Services, including any content you provide or post. You are expressly prohibited from posting inappropriate content. While using our Services, you will have access to:
  • content that you upload or provide while using our Services (“Your Content”);
  • content that other users upload or provide while using our Services (“Member Content”);
  • content thatJOIN THE DOTS provides on and through our Services (“Our Content”).
YOUR CONTENT
As Your Content is unique, you are responsible and liable for Your Content and will indemnify, defend, release, and hold us harmless from any claims made in connection with Your Content. Sorry that was a bit of a mouthful, but you are what you post!
You may not display any personal contact or banking information on your individual profile page whether in relation to you or any other person (for example, names, home addresses or postcodes, telephone numbers, email addresses, URLs, credit/debit card or other banking details). If you do choose to reveal any personal information about yourself to other users, whether via email or otherwise, it is at your own risk. We encourage you to use the same caution in disclosing details about yourself to third parties online as you would under any other circumstances.
Your individual profile will be visible to other people around the world, so be sure that you are comfortable sharing Your Content before you post. You acknowledge and agree that Your Content may be viewed by other users, and, notwithstanding these Terms, other users may share Your Content with third parties.
You understand and agree that we may monitor or review Your Content, and we have the right to remove, delete, edit, limit, or block or prevent access to any of Your Content at any time in our sole discretion. Furthermore, you understand and agree that we have no obligation to display or review Your Content.
MEMBER CONTENT
members ofJOIN THE DOTS will also share content via the App. Member Content belongs to the user who posted the content and is stored on our servers and displayed via the App at the direction of the user providing the Member Content.
You do not have any rights in relation to Member Content, and you may only use Member Content to the extent that your use is consistent with our Services’ purpose of allowing you to communicate with and meet one another. You may not copy the Member Content or use Member Content for commercial purposes, to spam, to harass, or to make unlawful threats. We reserve the right to terminate your account if you misuse Member Content.
OUR CONTENT
JOIN THE DOTS owns all other content on our Services.Any other text, content, graphics, user interfaces, trademarks, logos, sounds, artwork, images, and other intellectual property appearing on our Services is owned, controlled or licensed by us and protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property law rights. All rights, title, and interest in and to Our Content remains with us at all times.
We grant you a limited license to access and use Our Content as provided under Section 6 below, and we reserve all other rights.
INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT AND MISCONDUCT, REPORTING
JOIN THE DOTS does not tolerate inappropriate content or behavior on our Services.We are committed to maintaining a positive and respectful community, and we do not tolerate any inappropriate content or misconduct, whether on or off of the Services. We encourage you to report any inappropriate Member Content or misconduct by other users. 4.Privacy
Privacy is important to us.
We have a separate policy about it that you should read.For information about how the JOIN THE DOTS Group collects, uses, and shares your personal data, please check out our Privacy Policy – this is important stuff, and makes for great bedtime reading! By using JOIN THE DOTS, you agree that we can use such data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Rights you are granted by JOIN THE DOTS
JOIN THE DOTS grants you the right to use and enjoy our Services, subject to these Terms.

  • Copy, modify, transmit, create any derivative works from, make use of, or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, images, trademarks, trade names, service marks, or other intellectual property, content or proprietary information accessible through the Service without JOIN THE DOTS’s prior written consent.
  • Use the Service in any way that could interfere with, disrupt or negatively affect the Service or the servers or networks connected to the Service.
  • Forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any information transmitted to or through the Service.
  • "Frame" or "mirror" any part of the Service without JOIN THE DOTS’s prior written authorization.
  • Modify, adapt, sublicense, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decipher, decompile or otherwise disassemble any portion of the Service, or cause others to do so.
  • Use or develop any third-party applications that interact with the Service or other members' Content or information without our written consent.
  • Encourage or promote any activity that violates this Agreement.
  • The Company may investigate and take any available legal action in response to illegal and/ or unauthorized uses of the Service, including termination of your account.
  • se any robot, bot, spider, crawler, scraper, site search/retrieval application, proxy or other manual or automatic device, method or process to access, retrieve, index, "data mine", or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Service or its contents.
6. Rights you grant JOIN THE DOTS
You own all of the content you provide to JOIN THE DOTS, but you also grant us the right to use Your Content as provided in this Agreement.
By creating an account, you grant to JOIN THE DOTS a worldwide, perpetual, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free right and license to host, store, use, copy, display, reproduce, adapt, edit, publish, translate, modify, and distribute Your Content, including any information you authorize us to access from Facebook or other third-party source (if applicable), in whole or in part, and in any format or medium currently known or developed in the future. JOIN THE DOTS’s license to Your Content shall be non-exclusive, except that JOIN THE DOTS’s license shall be exclusive with respect to derivative works created through use of our Services. For example, JOIN THE DOTS would have an exclusive license to screenshots of our Services that include Your Content.
In addition, so that JOIN THE DOTS can prevent the use of Your Content outside of our Services, you authorize JOIN THE DOTS to act on your behalf with respect to infringing uses of Your Content taken from our Services by other users or third parties. JOIN THE DOTS is not obligated to take any action with regard to use of Your Content by other users or third parties. JOIN THE DOTS’s license to Your Content is subject to your rights under applicable law.
In consideration for JOIN THE DOTS allowing you to use our Services, you agree that we, our affiliates, and our third-party partners may place advertising on our Services. By submitting suggestions or feedback to JOIN THE DOTS regarding our Services, you agree that JOIN THE DOTS may use and share such feedback for any purpose without compensating you.
You agree that JOIN THE DOTS may access, preserve, and disclose your account information, including Your Content, if required to do so by law or upon a good faith belief that such access, preservation, or disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
  • Comply with legal process;
  • Enforce these Terms;
  • Respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third parties;
  • Respond to your requests for customer service; or
  • Protect the rights, property or personal safety of the Company or any other person.
7. Third Party Services
The Service may contain advertisements and promotions offered by third parties and links to other web sites or resources.
JOIN THE DOTSis not responsible for the availability (or lack of availability) of such external websites or resources. If you choose to interact with the third parties made available through our Service, such party's terms will govern their relationship with you. JOIN THE DOTS is not responsible or liable for such third parties' terms or actions.
8. Limitation Of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL JOIN THE DOTS, ITS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
  • YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES,
  • THE CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF OTHER USERS OR THIRD PARTIES ON, THROUGH, OR FOLLOWING USE OF THE SERVICES; OR
  • UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT, EVEN IF JOIN THE DOTS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL JOIN THE DOTS’s AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO JOIN THE DOTS FOR THE SERVICES WHILE YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OR ALL OF THE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
9. Account Termination
Unless otherwise provided, this Agreement is effective upon your first use of the Services and shall remain in effect until it is terminated in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
Termination by the Company.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, the Company may suspend, deactivate or terminate your account and your right to use the Services and may block or prevent your access to and use of the Services at any time in its sole discretion, for any reason or no reason, without explanation and without notice (including without limitation blocking users or Members from certain IP addresses). We also reserve the right to remove or block access to your account information, User Content or data from our Services and any other records at any time at our sole discretion. In the event that we determine that your access to any of the Services is terminated or suspended for cause, such as due to any breach of this Agreement, flagged conduct or content, third party complaints or the implementation of our repeat infringer policy, you agree that all fees then paid to the Company by you will be nonrefundable, except as otherwise provided by law, and all outstanding or pending payments under the terms of your subscription will immediately be due and payable. All decisions as to the refundability of the fees are in the Company’s sole discretion.
Termination by You.
you may deactivate or terminate your account at any time, for any or no reason, by accessing the “settings” page of your account or by contacting us as described above. Except as otherwise provided by law or under this Agreement, you will not be entitled to any refund of the fees you have paid to the Company and all outstanding or pending payments under the terms of your subscription will immediately be due and payable.
10. Indemnity by You
All the actions you make and information you post on JOIN THE DOTS remain your responsibility. Therefore, you agree to indemnify, defend, release, and hold us, and our partners, licensors, affiliates, contractors, officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, harmless, from and against any third party claims, damages (actual and/or consequential), actions, proceedings, demands, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) suffered or reasonably incurred by us arising as a result of, or in connection with:
  • any negligent acts, omissions or wilful misconduct by you;
  • your access to and use of the App;
  • the uploading or submission of Content to the App by you;
  • any breach of these Terms by you; and/or
  • your violation of any law or of any rights of any third party.
We retain the exclusive right to settle, compromise and pay any and all claims or causes of action which are brought against us without your prior consent. If we ask, you will cooperate fully and reasonably as required by us in the defence of any relevant claim.
11. Disclaimers
JOIN THE DOTS PROVIDES THE SERVICE ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS AND TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GRANTS NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE WITH RESPECT TO THE SERVICE (INCLUDING ALL CONTENT CONTAINED THEREIN), INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. JOIN THE DOTS DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR FREE, (B) ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED, OR (C) THAT ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION YOU OBTAIN ON OR THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE.
JOIN THE DOTS TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CONTENT THAT YOU OR ANOTHER MEMBER OR THIRD PARTY POSTS, SENDS OR RECEIVES THROUGH THE SERVICE. ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SERVICE IS ACCESSED AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK.
12. DIGITAL MILLENNIUM COPYRIGHT ACT
The JOIN THE DOTS Group has adopted the following policy towards copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (the "DMCA"). If you believe any Member Content or Our Content infringes upon your intellectual property rights, please submit a notification alleging such infringement ("DMCA Takedown Notice") including the following:
  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works; Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access disabled and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material; Information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail; A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and A statement that, under penalty of perjury, the information in the notification is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
